In this presentation we review some of the new features introduced in Ingres 2006 and Ingres 2006 Release 2.  Highlights of these releases include: extensive use of parallelism in query execution; rule-based table partitioning; sequences; new data types; connectivity improvements and new drivers; more complex queries; "before" rules; secondary indices for session global temporary tables; derived tables in the FROM clause, and many more.

The presentation is in the form of 48 Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 slides.  The download also includes a PDF file containing a diagram of the syntax for partitioning tables.  The files are zipped to 221kb.
