Providing engineered capacity and being
able to ensure response times meet customer expectations requires proper benchmarking
throughout the application lifecycle. With proper tools, benchmarking can begin
during the design phase, and should continue up until the moment of deployment and perhaps
beyond. This paper discusses the techniques for benchmarking queries in isolation,
and for load-testing. The presentation is in the form of 37
