In this presentation we
describe how a public-facing Internet application was very rapidly developed
using Ingres, Apache and PHP. The new web application sits comfortably
next to an extremely mature ABF system that continues to run the back office.
The project illustrates how a very modest expenditure was all that was required
to add the capabilities expected in 2007 to a system originally developed in the
mid-1990s.
