Synopsis |
This course familiarizes the experienced Ingres user
with the Ingres visual management tools: VDBA, IJA (the journal analyzer), and
IIA (the import assistant). The use of VDBA to manage Ingres installations on a
daily basis is emphasised, as well as a number of features that are not
supported by any command-line utilities.
This course is intended for users who are already familiar
with the principles of Ingres database administration, and is not suitable
for those needing DBA training. (For DBA training, see
Ingres Database
Administration.) This course is especially suitable for those who will have
responsibility for supporting other users who will be expected to use these
tools ("training the trainer"). |
